Welcome! We are delighted to have you here. We are a small Kennel located in Santiago, Chile, which dedicates in heart and soul to the breeding and showing of Bernese Mountain Dogs. We don't live from our dogs..we live FOR them!
Here in Alpencross we strive to produce the best Bernese Mountain Dogs, both in Beauty, Health and Temperament. We base our lines solely in the best European, Canadian and American lines, trying to bring the best between them to obtain healthy and sound berneses, and lets not forget GORGEOUS! All our dogs live a doogy life in our house. They are my pets and my babies; beign Show dogs and sires and dams is a part-time job. We try to select and keep only the best representatives to continue with our lines; after proving their quality in the show ring, all our dogs are screened at 2 years of age for Hip, Elbow, Heart, Tyroid and Eye disease. We understand that to make correct breeding choices we need to know first what we are working with, not only in terms of health but also in personality traits and conformational traits.
We LOVE to participate in Dog shows, not only in Chile but we have also been lucky to travel to Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador and USA. Our lovely berner family extends to different countries, from Colombia, USA to Australia, and we couldnt be more happy and proud that our babies are making so many families happy both at their homes and at the shows.
We have many plans for the future, so we look foward to years to come and what they may bring to us... we can only hope its there is success, health and lots of berner love!
